the blog of james glynn
Hi, I’m James Glynn and I’m excited to welcome you to my blog. Furious Faith is the story of my world, but far more than that, it’s an invitation to consider what’s going on at this most critical time in your world, and how it might all connect to God’s story and His World.
I was pastor of a Chicago suburban church for 18 years, missionary to Haiti for 30 years, mentor, teacher, musician, singer, and now in a phase of major “life reconstruction” while living in Baja, Mexico.
You won’t be reading the kind of stuff you might expect from a guy who speaks from an evangelical perspective. In fact, I don’t write this blog primarily for Christians, but rather for ordinary folks like me who are doing their best and variously succeeding or not succeeding at managing life at what might very well be “the end of the age.” How else could you describe the darkness of our world and the challenges it places before us to interpret it, live without fear in it, and be a blessing instead of a curse to those around us?
These blogs will vary in content from my story to my thoughts to my teaching to my wonderings, wanderings, and challenges I lay before you to determine how they influence and shape your today and tomorrow.
Blessings be to you as you read, digest, ponder, and continue persevering for yet another day.
